The CampTarget app is your perfect companion for camper van and RV trips, providing a smooth and customizable planning experience. In this document, we’ll discuss the ‘Route Settings’ section of the app.
The ‘Route Settings’ window is automatically opened when you add a second destination in the ‘Route Planning’ window. This feature ensures that your journey’s parameters are defined as you begin to plan. However, you can always access the ‘Route Settings’ window at any point by clicking on the cog icon in the ‘Route Planning’ window.
By tweaking the settings in this section, you can tailor your trip to fit your personal travel style and needs.
1. Trip Duration – Days allocated for this trip
The first option allows you to set the number of days for your trip. You can adjust this anywhere between 1 and 31 days using a slider.
2. Daily Driving Hours – Hours on the road per days
This setting determines how many hours per day you wish to drive. You can choose anywhere between 1 and 24 hours, again using a slider.
3. Average Driving Speed
This setting adjusts the average driving speed for your route. This is useful if you know your RV’s speed limit on highways. Altering this setting will automatically recalculate your driving time.
4. Route Division – Divide route by
You can choose to divide your route either by time or by distance. By default, the setting is set to divide by time. If you select ‘Divide by Distance’, the ‘Daily Driving Hours’ setting changes to determine how many kilometres or miles you wish to drive per day (ranging from 1 to 2000 units), adjusted by a slider.
5. Unit Measurement
Choose between Metric or Imperial units for distance measurement to stick with what’s familiar to you.
6. Use Highways
This check box option allows you to decide whether or not you want to include highways in your route.
7. Include Tolls
Check this box if you are willing to travel on toll roads.
8. Use Ferries
This check box option enables you to include routes that require ferry crossings.
9. Show Alternative Routes
By checking this box, the system will provide alternative routes for your journey, giving you more options and flexibility.
